Sales will always be a numbers game More no’s than yes’s And that’s where you overthink it You try to get your conversion percentage higher rather than find ideal clients I built a business that did $80k/m in the healthcare equipment industry It was a good business in a solid market where we had a strong offer I hit a wall building the business to $80k/m because I was making less money than I did at $70k/m. Which sucked because it was a lot of work to get to $80k/m What I learned from that experience is that chasing sales can get you the wrong clients Clients that: ◉ don’t want to pay as well ◉ don’t appreciate your work ◉ don’t stick around Worse, you miss out on clients that are Just Right Just Right clients speak language similar to you They value similar outcomes They like how you operate because it feels right to them Just Right clients feel your empathy, which helps you communicate without feeling abrasive You can ask tough questions but they know you have the best outcome in mind for them Once you start focusing on Just Right clients you don’t worry about fake numbers You know there’s a few hundred Just Right clients out there who think you are Just Right too. And that’s how you build a great business P.S. I have 2 more spots before I close Empathetic Sellers We’ll close on Monday, March 31 or when those spots are full. Whichever happens first. DM “Just Right” and I’ll get you the details. |
